Family Ministries Team
Children’s Ministry Pastor/Director
Position Description

Overview of New Community Church
New Community Church is a contemporary, biblically based inter-denominational church of approximately 800 (attendance) located in Wexford, PA (20 miles north of Pittsburgh). We are a church united to bring glory to God who has promised His presence and power to accomplish His missionary purposes to the world. We unite under the authority of Scripture seeking to exalt God in all we do. Our mission is to be a place where God brings NEW LIFE to people, gathers them into a NEW COMMUNITY of love and power and sends them out to build a NEW CREATION where the world becomes more of what it was meant to be.

Overview of Family Ministries
At New Community Church families both within and outside of our church are a priority. We believe in coming alongside parents in the spiritual development of their children from cradle to college and beyond. We desire all homes to have Christ-centered, faith-focused families. Our mission in Family Ministries is to:
Partner with parents
Help families grow faith in the home
Grow children and teenagers in Christ (raising children of faith, grace, love, character and integrity)

Our mission comes from Deuteronomy 6: 4-7, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is One. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them upon your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
